Bunnies, sheep and dogs oh my!

I had a wonderful day at the Southern Indiana Fiber Festival, in historic Corydon, Indiana. Which,by the way was the original capital of Indiana. There was so much to see and do. I will tell you about part of it now and save the rest for tomorrow. The first thing that made it such a wonderful day was the weather. Sunny and breezy with highs in the low 70's.

It was a perfect day for all the animals.

I love the angora bunnies.
They are so soft and cuddly. I wanted one. And I just happened to turn the corner and there was one for $35. I will admit that I contemplated it just for a moment.

This beautiful guy is getting combed and later she began to spin his bunny fur.

Just look at those faces.

But I came back to my senses, and stopped petting the bunnies.

.

The Border Collies put on a great show. It truly amazes me to see them go through the paces. I could have watched them all day.

This guy can hardly wait for his turn with the sheep.
Tomorrow I will show you the yarn and fiber goodies that were to be had, and what I brought home.

  1. Seeing the dogs do their whole routine is so cool to me. It is so amazing watching them work with their trainer, too.

  2. The bunnies and dogs are a must see for me at a fiber festival as well. Man, if you had gotten that bunny we uld have had to teach you to spin!

  3. Is this the same festival Tabitha and I went to one year? Man, I think that was already like 2 years ago...time flies! You crack me up about the bunny. Would have "Bunny Sundays" like "Dog Thursdays"?

Those border collies are amazing, aren't they. I would have loved to see them, too.

Everything is so green still and you aren't wearing winter coats! What's up with that??? ; )

  7. That looks like so much fun! Aren't angora bunnies just heart-meltingly cute? I barely managed to leave Wisconsin Sheep & Wool without one.

  8. I was just at the VA Fiber Festival and those sheepdog trials are so much fun to watch! I can't wait to see what you bought (so hard to have control when you are surrounded on all sides).
