Your chance to pay it forward
I saw this over on the Prairie and decided to jump on the wagon. Sorry Katie, it was just too easy. You know sometimes I laugh at my own jokes. Focus Sonya!
And now I am inviting 3 of you to play it with me.
Now for the fine print: This is the "Pay It Forward" exchange, based on the concept of the movie where acts of kindness are done without expecting anything in return...just passing it on, with the hope that the recipients of your kind acts will pass it along to someone else. Here's how it works: I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don't know what the gift will be yet, and it won't be sent this month and maybe not next month either, but it will be sent within 6 months and that's a promise!
What you have to do in return then is "pay it forward" by making the same promise on your blog. I think this will be great. You never know when someone needs a pick me up. I can tell ya it is really wonderful to find something in the mail that brightens your day. Ok, who will be first, don't be shy.
And whether or not you are playing this game, why not pay it forward in real life and do a random act of kindness to someone this week? Amen
Hi! Found your blog through another the other day and I guess I'll make my first comment now. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to take part of this in my blog, it sounds like a great idea!
Welcome to the skein! Good for you for making your first comment on this post.
ReplyDeleteI wanna play!!!!!! You know how much I love swaps and this concept is really cool. Paying It Forward!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wanna play too, but I'm a slow knitter, so anyone who gets my gifts will have to be patient as well :) Let's pay it forward!
ReplyDeleteYay! I was hoping you'd play along because i can't wait to make you something wonderful! I will go and search the stash for something yummy.
ReplyDeleteFinally, you're next! I'll be casting on something special for you in the next week or so. I hope you'll be surprised (in a good way, of course).
