Just can't help it.

I have the 10 minute tank on the needles. A block for a baby blanket, the Jacqueline headband from sleepy Eyes Knitting and now the gusset for the tote' em bag. The chain cast on did take some figuring out. Screwed it up several times, could not seem to find good enough instructions on line. Between my copy of the Knitting Answer Book and a few tutorials I managed to learn how to do a chain cast on. Before I could even start, I spent almost an hour looking for the one page of the pattern that was lost. It had the instructions for the gusset. Eli woke up all stopped up and coughing, so I am still up. He is fixed up in the recliner with a pillow and blanket watching Scooby Doo and the Loch Ness Monster. He fell asleep at 7:45 while I was at the grocery, so I am not surprised that he is up.

I now have to decide what to take with me to knitting tonight. I don't want to bring the "big" knitting bag, but I just might have to. Olivia is going with me so the rest of the Sunergo's Knitters can see the headband. I bought a bamboo/cotton blend for the Jacqueline. Zoe will love it, the color is fuchsia. Her favorite color is the spectrum of pink. I have come across something really strange. I have tried
several different places to find a clicking counter and everyone is out. When I do do find one it will be duct taped to my hand. The first one disappeared. I am almost positive that a child absconded with it because of the cool clicking sound.
Seeing that it is now 2:00 am, I better try to get some sleep. I have 15 more mornings of trying to get the two of them to school on time. Next year could be even tougher. I will have to get three ready for school.

  1. I can relate. I haven't seen the clicker-counter in a while. It's probably keeping my missing keys company.

That tank is too cute. I'm going to be casting on for my second tote 'em soon too.

  3. Gina, thank me? No thank you. You came up with the great pattern.

We had a good group tonight. There were 5 of us and it was Stacy's b-day.

  4. Wow - my peeps are already here!

The headbands are beautiful. I wish I had more hair, but your daughter has given us all some alternate ways of wearing them - so maybe I will knit a few after all!
