What were you doing Oscar night?

I was with my knitting friends or should that be friends who knit or friends with needles/sticks. I don't know so today I will just call them Tabitha, Meagan and Stacy. We sat around watching the Oscars, eating great food and knitting. No wait, I was the only one knitting. I wonder what was up with that. Later today I will find out who won the Oscar picking contest. I haven't seen even one of the movies nominated for best picture. Back to the knitting. As you can see the first of the two driving mitts has grown.
From left to right: Tabitha, Stacy, Meagan and me. Since Lora is no longer with us
(She's not dead, just moved to NH) we wanted to send out a big Hello! Sorry about the flash glare in the background. This was the only one where we all were looking straight ahead and not making some silly face, Stacy.
Until next time...

  1. The driving mitts are looking lovely. And I didn't see any of the movies either, but that's because we usually wait for movies to come out on DVD so we can watch them at home. That way, Mr. C can fall asleep and I can knit like crazy!

  3. Hi, Sonya!

I saw your comment on my blog. Thanks for checking it out!

Yes, my hubby does knit. Yesterday he called in from work and said it was to work on his paper for school, but when I came he had knit an entire hat. Hmmmm, not so sure I believe the "paper" excuse!

    I liked your wine cozy!

  4. Lora points me to all the good blogs. I think that is cool. But your yarn stash must be HUGE.
The wind cozy was fun. The bottom was knit seperate and I had to call Lora to ask about how to do the bottom.

  5. Yes, I can attest to the fact that Lora is not dead! We are so lucky that she's joined our group, and from the looks of it, she left a great group behind. Love the mitts!
